Why was this so much better on rewatch?
What a truly humbling experience viewing this masterpiece was a timeless tale of man vs nature and the eternal struggle of peace.
This is a film which brings issues that have existed in the world from the dawn of man kind to front and centre stage. The soundtrack and directing are incredible and the Animation revolutionary for its time
This movie truly is one of my favorite film experiences ever!!

Quite possibly Carpenter's masterpiece.
A thriller that continuously forces you to second guess your theories, while simultaneously being scary as shit.
The effects work is awesome for its time and the monster reveals are still as effective in 2018 (which is rare to say about a film made in 1982).
Carpenter's score is mystical and haunting, kind of reminded me of something Zimmer might attempt today.
