STEVEN TOULON ☃️’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Lair of the White Worm marks my second Ken Russell film after Crimes of Passion, and while the sleaze factor is turned way down, this has as much style as I had hoped. Quite an erotic horror feat that bounces its tone all around, and the fantasy in itself is solid. I'm not sure I'll ever understand what the hell I just watched, but I can say with certainty that it was entertaining. Odd in all the right ways with some wild snake symbolism and amusing bits of humor. Safe to say I look forward to seeing more of this filmography.
