Steve Barman’s review published on Letterboxd:
This film hits the nail on the head as far as adapting a Lovecraft story and the slow unweaving of matter and sanity. Unfortunately, the trip there isn't interesting. Like going to a theme park where you have to wait in line an hour to get on the ride. The third act can't hold up the the other 2 on its own. Nic Cage's voice hasn't fluctuated in intonality this much since Vampire's Kiss. Some horrific visuals.
