I was on board until the letter, up until then it was captivating, creepy, excellent use of the human psyche. It feels original even if it isn’t really.
I had forgotten how powerful the soundtrack is for this masterpiece!
Despite watching this time round with a Suspiria virgin, who questioned why it was so special at the end, my fondness for this hasn't waned. Don't get me wrong they're right to some extent, it hasn't aged all that well with questionable acting, dreadful sound levels that jump all over and your typical 70's fake blood.... but that's not the point. That is not where the magic of this classic Argento horror lies.
