Best thing about this film is the acting. A heartbreakingly excellent performance from Chadwick Boseman. 😥
Viola Davis, once again, proving she is one of our very best actresses.
Costumes and cars were stellar.
Wolfe does almost nothing to make this play a film. It hurts the entire experience. I love the theatre, but a film has to utilize its form to shine. There are many fantastic film versions of plays (12 Angry Men, His Girl Friday, etc). No excuses can make up for how static this felt.
