I have finally seen a Kon film, and what a wonderful "grab you by the eyes and don't let go"* trip it was! I was literally breathless after the opening sequence and terribly excited. I deeply appreciated this film's love of cinema and the way it utilizes its medium (animation) in ways I'd never seen. It's also a "dream" piece for those who like to analyze and intrepret meaning. It definitely engaged my mind in a way few films do.

Horrible confession: I kept asking my husband where we'd seen this plot before, and I swear our memories friggin' suck because of our countless answers none of them were the actual answer (Inception). 😂😂😂
