These are mostly movies I rank 5/5 with some 4.5 favorites added in for good measure.

This is, by no means, a Best film list, but I would argue, rather passionately, that many of these are amongst the greatest films ever made.

20s: 7
30s: 22
40s: 33
50s: 31
60s: 26
70s: 32
80s: 27
90s: 31
2000s: 21
10s: 19

I always say the 40s and the 70s are my favorites, and it's interesting to find out I meant it. *grin* (Though the 50s and 90s are closing in!)

I counted 74 foreign films but some were silents, but probably less than there should be. Still so much I haven't seen.
