This is a sweet short with the traditional Pixar feels. I wasn't sure at first about the style of the kitten, but it grew on me, and the dog is adorable.
The first half of this movie was basically a Bring It On/summer camp movie, complete with a talent show and craft day. Then the movie got BONKERS and I had a hard time following what was happening.
The fight scenes were really well done and I enjoy Jackie Chan but John Cusack as the intimidating war general felt like a weird choice.
Another movie watched for "How Did This Get Made?" but unlike Holiday in Handcuffs I actually enjoyed watching this movie and don't feel like I wasted 1.5 hours of my life.
I wanted this to be a little better, given the fact that A. it's Pixar, duh and B. it's knitting related (I LOVE knitting and we need more knitting in pop culture imo), but it felt a little too on the nose to be really enjoyable. But it was a cute short and I liked the knitting puns and the animation style used for the yarn, so I'm glad I watched it.
