The mystical construct of Prasad’s anonymity and the parallel cutting makes sure that I’m going back and forth in my empathy for the thief and then the couple.
And the wicked cleverness and project management of the cops, a likeable deviant like Sudhakaran and a motivated scene, production thrown into the mix...this film is so startlingly fresh that the water and soap Prasad uses to clean up after his getaway has the same effect as the lemonade rain in the Limca Ads.
Why does justice come at such a high price? When there’s nothing to be felt but relief?
We need more films like this just because it highlights the most important nuance of sisterhood, much like 4months 3 weeks and 2 days. More people need to understand the truth of what it means to have someone’s back and what it takes to be a sister.
I can’t describe the technical merit. It’s just so fantastically ambient and moving and silent and terrifying.
