MCU With My Dad
No film has grown on me as much as this film. When I was getting into the MCU I wasn't into the "space stuff", and it took me 3-4 times to start this movie. I would get like 30 mins in and shut it off or 10 mins in and pick something else to watch. That's absurd to me now that I was like that.
For the past 2 months, while going through the MCU with my Dad, all I've thought about in the MCU is Guardians. I love this group and I couldn't wait to show it to my dad but also I couldn't wait to watch it again. I actually got too excited last month and ended up watching like the first hour. This is one of Marvel's best films and it just makes me so upset that James Gunn was removed as director of the 3rd film.
I love how James Gunn breaks it down for newcomers and people who don't know about Guardians. If you think, when they all get arrested by Nova Corps, they go through each of their names and a little bit about who/what they are and even give you a simple breakdown of Gamora's relationship with Thanos, Nebula, and Ronin. I thank you for that James Gunn, for my Dads sake.
Anyway, I love this group/team. They're some of my favorite characters in the MCU and James Gunn's style is so amazing for both Vol. 1 & 2.
