    The Pale Door


    A Western horror about a group of outlaws trapped in a town of witches.
    It starts off okay, but it peaks too early with some cool monster action and decent visuals before getting bogged down with a mediocre plot and uninteresting characters.

    Some good creature designs here, and the music was decent too so it's not terrible, just the pace drops early and never really picks up after the early levels of chaos and carnage.

    A small group of annoying teenagers are going somewhere on a bus through the countryside. We're not sure where they are going or who they are as it is never explained. They come across a blocked road, so the driver takes another route. Then a psychotic serial killer gets onto the bus before the bus breaks down. The teens then have to survive in some tunnels as a grotesque monster is stalking them.

    A pretty damn disturbing glimpse into the life of a deranged serial killer. Shot in the first person, we're with this sicko for the duration, as we see him looking for love in all the wrong places, and becoming gradually consumed by his own insanity.
    Elijah Wood delivers a fantastic performance as the killer. Though we rarely see him, his presence is always felt as he really captures the anxiety of the character, giving the film a very uncomfortable vibe.…
