The Last Picture Show 1971
This felt like the American take on the french new wave. There is no glamour or handling situations with kid gloves. These stories could be lifted from any small town in the middle of America in the 50s. When there are no prospects and you’re just trying to enjoy being young while you can, these are the mistakes you make and hopefully you can live with them. Growing up is easy but maturing is the hard part.

More like Jason XXX…(raise hand for a high five that will never come).
Seriously feels like a porn sci fi script from the 80s and then they realized that they hadn’t put out a Jason movie that year; so they smushed the two together. This is not entirely a bad thing. The great thing about Jason is that he can fit in anywhere and anytime— hence putting him in space and the future. Plus being horny as hell. I dug the ride.
