Mysterious, eerie, tense, different, thrilling, creepy, ambitious, original, cinematic, refreshing, surprising, fun, loud, impressive, epic and clever.

This is Jordan Peele’s blockbuster and he nails it. Beautiful cinematography, brilliant storytelling, superb acting, epic score, and a complete breath of fresh air.

Haunting, surreal, visually stunning, creepy, abstract, unsettling, disturbing, gets weird, and then even weirder until it spirals into a full-blown toxic masculine nightmare.

Excellent acting from Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear (x10), with an amazing score, beautiful scenery, expert cinematography, and great storytelling.

Alex Garland is a sicko and I’m here for it.

    Bullet Train

Over-the-top, twisty, entertaining, goofy, fun, sometimes funny, simple but bloated with overly complicated storylines and flashbacks, long, violent, colorful, non-stop, well-made, senseless, action-packed, and bloody.

Felt like Kill Bill but on a train? Lots of humor didn’t land for me but this assumed father and son next to me were busting up laughing the entire movie which made me laugh a lot. It’s not a masterpiece and certainly not Brad Pitt’s best movie but it’s a fun and enjoyable ride.

    The Warriors

Dated, classic, gritty, cheesy, campy, silly, over the top, stylized, entertaining, unrealistic, simple, original, iconic, fun, overrated, and unsatisfying.

Lots of running and toxic masculinity. Understandable how this movie is a cult classic and favorite to many who grew up watching it. Love all of the different outfit coordinated gangs and would love to see this remade one day.

Fuck military propaganda, American exceptionalism, and the American war machine.

“The original Top Gun of 1986 was so successful as a military marketing tool that enlisting booths were installed in cinemas and overall recruitment increased by roughly 500%”

    “Nothing matters.”

Incredible! Feels like watching a thousand different movies at the same time. A hilarious, emotional, shocking, touching, unpredictable, deeply woven science-fiction/action/comedy/romance/drama all wrapped around one struggling family just trying to do their taxes & run a laundromat. Superb acting from everyone involved, completely bonkers writing/editing, and an excellent score.

One of the most unique movie experiences I’ve had, and can’t wait to see it again.
