(im)patiently waiting for nope (2022)
the technical aspects of this film alone is proof that taking the time and effort to make a good film is worth it. the sound mixing alone deserves ALL THE PRAISE because i genuinely think it’s the best i've ever heard. now when the obvious praise is out of the way, i HAVE TO mention the cgi. after seeing the poorly done cgi by recent marvel movies, it was a breath of fresh air to see how good cgi actually…
THAT FINALE WAS SOOOOO GOOD.
the parallels between anakin killing the younglings and reva almost killing luke WAS EXCELLENT and moses ingram acted her heart out in each and every scene. the parallel between rotj and the scene with anakin having a moment with both luke & obi-wan was just 😭.
the supporting characters (especially o’shea’s character) where outstanding and really brought life to this post revenge of the sith world. definitely my fave d+ show, perhaps even the best…
i was born for this film. best spider-man film and mcu film ever. it’s been half an hour since i walked out of the cinema but i am speechless. LIKE YOU DONT GET IT IF YOU HAVENT SEEN IT BUT THIS WAS BEYOND AMAZING AND BEYOND SPECTACULAR. THERE ARENT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE THIS LIKE YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT
i had no idea what to expect of this film even tho i watched all the promotional stuff but woow it did not disappoint. everything from michael giacchino’s score to greg freiser’s cinematography were amazing. not to mention how good robert was as the batman and bruce wayne. all of the performances in this were great and the most underrated ones were colin farrell and jeffery writght, they were so convincing and believable and made the best of their screen time. i also appreciated matt reeves subverting my expectations in the greatest ways possible. this was magnificent and easily one of my faves from 2022.
