Jesse Loughborough’s review published on Letterboxd :
Blimey. I'd heard only good things about this and, boy, it didn't disappoint. Maybe my favourite film from the last three or four years. The subject matter, style and production design are right up my street. It paints a conceivable future and shows its potential pitfalls at the same time as making it pretty appealing. Despite this incredibly cautionary tale, I found myself wanting a disembodied Scarlett Johansson in my phone (who wouldn't, right?).
My only thought that might be on the negative side (but not necessarily) is would this film have worked as well if I wasn't able to see ScarJo in my mind's eye? Not sure. But certainly casting her as the OS was a stroke of genius - her voice is perfect.
I'm very much looking forward to the second viewing.
