I watched your name a year ago. The hype of this beautifully animated movie is well known so I dived into it with high hopes. The spectacular visuals and stunning animation sure mesmerize you, but that cannot take away the fact that the movie lacks a good plot. the storyline isn't gripping and you find yourself questioning if I am supposed to feel anything with this scene. the dialogues aren't catchy or heartfelt either, as of course are expected from a coming of age high school kids movie. Anyway, the animation by Makoto Shinkai is always notable.
I'd rate this movie three stars, out of it two stars are for animation and the one left would be a consolation.
one of the movies that are too hyped that makes you question "why?"
