so it was when Chewie made mention of his tribe that I realized this was a Western.   it’s got a rakish young outlaw hero.  the bad guy’s sort of an evil robber baron.  there are gunfights and standoffs and poker games and a servant revolt and a grizzled old mentor and a fancy dame of questionable morals/with a potentially shady past and an excellent, kinetically exciting train robbery.  

it’s the breeziest, most fun, easiest-to-watch STAR WARS movie since A NEW HOPE maybe.  I loved it.
