Started off very poorly.
Got better with time.
3 1/2 hours without noticing. A good sign to start with.
A journey of a film. A journey with Frank Sheeran, the Irishman. A journey through mafia, unions, politics.
I will always wonder: since when did Scorses want to shoot this film? Was he just waiting for his actors to grow old enough?
No way to define this film:
A comedy? A horror? A dramatic critic of society? A grotesque film?
Most likely it's all of these at once.
An icredible plot, where everything goes together, and when the unexpected is always about to happen.
A film that has to be watched, a film that will be remembered for long.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I do not know what to write about this movie.
Probably I am mostly annoyed: all the characters went on my nerves since the first appearance on screen.
The Swedish cult looks simply ridiculous: tons of people moving in the background doing non sense.
The story is a classic: a bunch of young americans fins themselves in big trouble when going on a trip together. Only one will survive.
Everything is obvious in this film: guess who is gonna die…
