I will say I really appreciate how the movie follows the rules of the real world in terms of computers and phones, because waaayy too many movies act like we don’t know how phones work and it’s really distracting.

As much as I did have fun with it, there were way to many eye roll moments for me:
Cabinets all opening at the same time
    Someone getting dragged away
    Flour footprints
    Slow attic pan
Camera flash suspense aaand jump scare…

I’m going into this without having watched the trailer. These are my thoughts while watching this Dave Franco directed horror movie:

    • The home owner guy is clearly behind it, or they just want us to think that..
    • Character silently sneaks up behind someone cliche jump scare
    • These people are really lame, Alison Brie broke out some ecstasy and was like I’m tired I’m going to sleep haha
    • it’s very clear there’s going to be a lot of…

I couldn’t have cared less what happened to these characters. It was so weird how the story was set up and established so quickly that there were so many questions. These girls were friends already? Ok I guess so. 15 minutes into the movie it feels like the movie could end, and yet it just keeps going, adding nothing to the story. There is a really lame twist that no one even cares about and the way music is used in every single scene is really cringe.

Jeannie Berlin was so funny she was my favorite with her egg salad self. The main guy, Lenny was a complete asshole and to see him Walter white his way through a bunch of lies was cringe tastic. Cybill was great and I will gladly rewatch.

All I think of is SciFi channel and me being really young and this constantly being on tv. I have seen parts of it so many times it is etched into my brain and that’s not a good thing because I want to remember Mrs. Honey as a little Matilda cottage woman and not some spy kids secret agent dressed woman getting crushed by a glass wall.

It was fun but oh god the way they were acting especially the short haired girl when they first got to the park was on that Final Destination 3 park entrance level if you know what I mean.  I did really like the scale of the park it felt real and it’s a very good movie if you want to feel Halloweeny and be entertained. It felt so similar to that movie Haunt which was about the same level of…

A movie with heavy Psycho influence featuring Taylor Swift, Jonathan Banks as the creepy voice, and the guy from Cube 1997. It’s very 80s and very fun. I quite enjoyed it.

I’m actually really very surprised this is t a more well known movie. It has a great soundtrack, it’s an amazing showcasing of post Manson LA, and it’s a perfect humanistic look at heroin addicts and hustlers just trying to make it by. Sad and engrossing.
