Terrific noir with some photography up there with the best in the genre. Based on a book, but switched the hate crime from homophobia to anti semitism. Extremely well done and entertaining, with particularly good work by Gloria Grahame and Sam Levene, and snappy precise dialogue. Well worth seeing.

Very so so, meh feeling after seeing this. Apart from Vince Vaughn's terrific job acting like a teenage girl trapped in his body. Every scene was just ok, none were really eye catching or engrossing. Yet very little was bad either.
It's a slasher/comedy trying to be on the level of Ready or Not and Happy Death Day, but failing.
Note: I've watched this again since I wrote the above, and enjoyed it more than I did the first time. I'd even say I liked it. However, comparisons I made still apply, and Vaughn still carries a hefty load.
