This was okay, what worked most was the claustrophobic feeling of it all. The acting is phoned it, the writing predictable and nothing new. the effects decent and at only 95 minutes still felt too long

    Machine Gun Preacher

Butler is known nowadays as an action star. But I've always been a fan of his more dramatic roles like Dear Frankie and even Phantom Of The Opera. This movie surprised me, I thought it was going to be a watered down hollywood spit shined version of the real events. But from what I understand is this stick pretty close to them. Butler is great in the role and the story really brought me in. The writing and supporting actors…

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

I should have liked this movie, Im a huge Ewan McGregor fan, but this isn't the right movie for him, Mary Elizabeth Winstead was very wasted in such a small role. Margot Robbit who I like in everything else she's done including Suicide Squad was just annoying in this. For being called Birds Of Prey the actual Birds are barely in it. Harley isn't a character that should carry a movie. She works fine as a side or supporting character but I just didn't find much enjoyment in this movie. Had so much potential but.....I really hope the next Suicide Squad is better

Remember when they said video games make people violent, evidently imaginary board games did in the 80s. Interesting

  • Bloodshot

The comic series was perfect for a movie, yet they somehow turned it into this pile of crap.

  • Krull

I always thought this movie was like Beastmaster and Conan mixed into one. Not aliens and lasers and such. Its not a bad movie but its not great. It suffers what alot of movies from the 80s like this do. They mixed fantasy and sci-fi like Masters Of The Universe and the Beastmaster sequels. Its very dated still fun but it could have been so much better. With the effects it makes the Harryhausen Jason And The Argonauts look fresh and new.

I was 6 when this first came out and I was a huge fan off the arcade game so when this came out I was so excited and I loved the movie. I think that has alot to do with my love of it still. Hands down my favorite video game movie and just overall a great action movie for me. The sequel.....not so much. The casting is great in this and I always thought the effects were well done…

  • The Invisible Man

    The Invisible Man

I thought this was going to be a remake of the Claude Raines movie and I hated the idea of it, The Rains movie is one of my all time favorite movies so I just wrote this off. When it came up for rent I saw all the good reviews and thought what the hey. This movie was great and not like i thought at all. Its not a remake its a straight on thriller and Elizabeth Moss did a…

  • That Thing You Do!

    That Thing You Do!

This is a fun movie that shows the highs and lows of instant fame and how it drives people apart. Hanks did a good job as director and actor in this. Liv Tyler im not a fan of and her part is easily recast with someone better with more screen presence. The band works well together and have a good rapport. I watched the extended version and noticed several scenes I never saw before but nothing that really adds to the viewing experience because I always thought this was a fun entertaining movie.

  • The Watcher

    The Watcher

A good turn by Reeves in an unusual bad guy role. Spader is his usual wooden self but it works with the character in this. Its not a high class high brow movie its gritty and edited odd. but its a pretty decent thriller that's overlooked.

  • Gunpowder

For only being three parts this miniseries kinda dragged in parts. The ending was fast and overly rushed when they should have devoted more time to the act and trial. The build up was overly long and it feels like its unfinished. Its not a bad production but its definitely not great

    Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

For being a classic movie this sure deviates from the book alot. And its a short book so I thought 52 years ago they would have just done it right. But alas its different. Dick Van Dyke is always fun to watch and the movie is fun and light. Its got its silly points and im not overly sure it needed the musical numbers. But yeah its fun and the visuals are colorful and vibrant and its unique. I'm glad I watched this.
