Battles Without Honor and Humanity: Proxy War 1973
I den tredje delen i Yakuza-papers får vi precis som i den första filmen följa den karismatiske Hirono navigera sig igenom japans undre värld. Dem ständiga vändningarna av lojaliteter används lite för mycket här, det blir nästintill omöjligt att hålla isär alla karaktärer och deras relation till varandra. Dem kaotiska actionscenerna, det härliga ledmotivet och den allmänna atmosfären räcker dock fortfarande för att göra filmen engagerande. Snäppet bättre än Vol 2, något sämre än Vol 1.

Brandon Cronenberg följer i sin fars fotspår med en härligt dystopisk Scifi-rysare. Märklig, orignell och fascinerande med utsökt färgsättning, vass klippning och tung ljudbild. Både Riseborough och Abbot gör ett fantastiskt jobb med karaktärerna i denna mycket surrealistiska historia. En dyster och våldsam upplevelse som blandar genrer på ett sätt som känns unikt och modernt samtidigt som filmens atmosfär påminner om 80-tals klassiker "Videodrome".

Don't miss this gem, "Prospect" deserves to find a cult audience.
