Minding the Gap ★★★★

The accumulation of moments on display in Minding the gap makes for a poignant portrait of three teenagers, their dreams, their ideals and the way how they are slowly trying to figure out their identity. Their's a Boyhood-sense of wonder here, a story evolving organically against the daily grind of rust-belt America. Skateboarding becomes an outlet for pent-up emotions and frustrations, an act that brings unison and composure to the turbulence of life. I absolutely loved this.
