Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not as bad as people are putting it out to be. However, this adaptation is 10 years too late. I think society has progressed the need for tame YA adaptations. I would've liked to see the Charlie Kaufman version of this film. I heard it was engaging and hilarious.
I'm feel sorry for Tom Holland because, he was supposed to do 1917 and he got roped into the reshoots of this film it clearly shows what scenes are reshoots. Also, Daisy Ridley is doing everything she can to elevate the mild screenplay.
In conclusion, I think this is a cool concept but, it was executed poorly and generically.
