    The Lego Batman Movie

I was more than a little disappointed with this one... did not live up to all the hype.

Great effects and visuals. Good storyline. Enjoyable movie

    The Gift

There is something a little off about Gordo...

  • The Mummy

    The Mummy

Tom Cruise plays the "Chosen One" after and ancient Egyptian Princess is awoken and tries to complete an ancient ritual that she was unable to complete in the latest Mummy movie for the franchise. I won't lie, I was a little skeptical when I first heard that Tom Cruise would be starring in this. I am proud to say, I my concerns were dismissed less than half way into my viewing.

The Mummy had a very zombie-esque feel to it,…

  • To the Bone

    To the Bone

To The Bone is the latest Netflix movie and is almost as controversial as 13 Reasons Why. This movie revolves around a young woman struggling with anorexia. Her family, at their wits end, contacts and unconventional doctor (portrayed by Keanu Reeves) who challenges her to face her condition and embrace her life.

I wasn't "blown away" by this movie... I had expected more. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, with a solid message, but it was slow…

    12 Feet Deep

12 Feet Deep, inspired by true events, is a story of two sisters who are trapped beneath the fiberglass cover of an Olympic sized pool. If I am going to be completely honest, I did not have much hope for this one. My gut instinct was not wrong, this movie dragged on and I even considered shutting it off, but I felt invested and had a need to complete it. It certainly will make you think twice about going to a public pool on a long weekend though!

  • 47 Meters Down

    47 Meters Down

I have watched enough Shark Week to know how unrealistic several aspects of this movie were. That being said, it wasn't a bad watch. The jump scares were enjoyable to say the least... who doesn't like a good scare?! There were some cases of profanity and intense blood scenes that may disturb younger viewers. 47 Meters Down was a predictable movie and certainly was not as scary or horror-filled as the trailer had implied.

  • Careful What You Wish For

    Careful What You Wish For

I'm a closet Nick Joans fan. There. I said it. Normally I try to keep my celebrity crushes to men closer to my age... but I really enjoy movies (and shows) that Nick Jonas is in.

Careful What You Wish For was an interesting movie... it started off quite slow, but gained momentum as it went on. The story revolves around a teen who gets more than he bargains for when he has an affair with his married neighbour. There…

  • Deadpool

I won't lie... I have been waiting for this movie for a long time! I was a fan of Deadpool before it was cool to be a fan of Deadpool. I saw this movie in the theatre - 3 times! And then pre-ordered the DVD.

I will start off by saying - this movie is NOT for children!! It is not the fun x-men style super-hero movie that kids are so fond of. There is sex, violence and vulgarity. It…

  • Goosebumps

I enjoyed this film -- it was a blast from the past seeing some of my favourite books (and episodes) brought back to the big screen. All 3 kids enjoyed the film - flinching only when Slappy was around - everybody hates dolls, right?! There were a couple scenes where the kids had the blankets pulled up high, but did not have to hide in fear. All in all, it was a great movie!
