“I like it when she sticks her tongue in me..”
Gracious. Powerful. This movie now runs my house.
Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, Olivia Colman. A trio of powerful actresses who bring the proverbial house down in this movie. I loved seeing a love triangle play out where men were essentially a non-factor. In fact men get pretty much sidelined the whole time, so kudos for that. I especially liked Weisz, who’s wardrobe possibly awakened something in me. I may or not be in love with her now.
The movie is hilarious, in that idiosyncratic way that all of Yargos movies are. This one didn’t go the pitch-black comedy route of his previous films, which honestly I was a bit happy about. Instead there is sass galore. Nicholas Hoult is towering dandy of sass who at one point pulled off a delightful, backwards pimp walk. Now that I think of it, I may actually be in love with him now.
Shout out to Horatio, fastest duck in England. I would die for him.
