In the Mood for Love is a film that casts a certain kind of spell over you. It’s a slow burning film which makes it all the more dazzling to behold. It’s the small escalations and the feeling of both longing and loneliness that drift softly around the narrative.
To sum up: its spectacular. A modern triumph.
Also side note, I don’t think anything can quite compare to Maggie Cheung’s beauty and elegance but god damn does that score come seriously close!
