This is the film equivalent of True Detective's Season 2.
Filters a damning expose of abuse through the satirization of regret and paranoia that becomes those eaten by the system.
It is a a cruel story conveyed by an ornery Parrot, with its only audience being a severely depressed alcoholic who got the damn thing to feel less lonely.
Exceptional film. Necessary.
It's not just the hilarity of the writing and the spot-on acting of Paddy [and the dog voiced by Chris!], it is truly Morris' complete unwavering of his nightmare world that gives this its grounding. A sympathetic example of a day gone completely wrong.
Driving this absurdity is an equally unstable soundtrack and visuals that would one expect in such a situation. Highly recommended.
You'd better say sorry.
For what you're about to do.
