Letterboxd — Your life in film

I really thought it was just...fine. For all the publicity, it was really just kind of OK. And while King of Comedy is a great movie that I happened to find too squirm inducting to watch, this was kind of like that but without a reason for me to watch it.

While this wasn't perhaps the strongest documentary I've ever seen, the concept was really interesting, and it strung together a really fascinating history of magic. The clips of Ricky Jay were, as always, astounding, but it's the stories he tells about other magicians and the sense of how craft can flow in and through a person that make this worth watching.
