I do think this was extremely desperate in its marketing to appeal to straight people which I understand because Billy Eichner wants to make more films, but that stayed in my brain pretty much all the way through whether I was the target audience. And obviously I am! It just had the opportunity to promote queer people to see it rather than straights, which was the whole gimmick. I’m writing in circles. It was cute and fine. I laughed a lot. Billy Eichner is a good actor. I want zellweger to exist. I’m not fully sure they should have ended up together in the end. The gayer choice would’ve been staying open. But that’s not this movie! Bye.
