Singing in the Rain is one of the greatest musicals of all time. I’ve been wanting to watch this movie for a long time but every time it’s on TV it’s ether in the middle of the film or dead at the end. I finally was able to catch it from the beginning to end and I can finally this is a classic for a reason. The plot is great it’s entertaining and well paced. There wasn’t a single minute I wasn’t entertained. The acting is great Gene Kelly, Debbie Reynolds, and Jean Hagen give great performances. Donald O’Connor gives a super fun performance.
The music is fantastic every song is very well sang. The choreography is fantastic and the dancing scenes are very impressive. The singing in the rain scene and when he hangs on to the lamppost is just iconic. The comedy is genuinely funny and I laughed through out the whole film. The ending is one of the best happy endings. Overall Singing the Rain is one of the best musicals and one of the best feel good films ever made.
