this movie is going to celebrate it's 25th anniversary next year, but it still looks so fresh it could have easily been made this decade, despite the fact that the plot is very much grounded in the 90's and it's aesthetic.
the soundtrack and sound mixing in general deserves a special mention: it doesn't really stand out on its own, but it absolutely does work coupled with the visuals, especially little moments, like hanna throwing out his tv set; that's one of my favorite scenes in the movie, actually, idk really why :)
also, that's the 4th time I watched this movie in 2019, I think??
