Everyone seems to have a hot take for this film, so I will also give mine because I'm jealous of every one expressing their opinion freely except for me. I think it was a good film but it's definitely my least favorite Clint Eastwood film so far. I felt that it was slightly out of focus and bordered on being too self-indulgent. I don't always mind self-indulgence too much, but the movie isn't fully committed to it, so it just ends up being sort of distracting at best and pathetic at worst. That being said, I thought it was funny and sometimes clever.

For me, The Lion King is on the same level as The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It has its moments (Be Prepared, Mufasa's death scene), but isn't really that special overall and is already outdated.

The humor is too silly, there are too many cliches throughout, and it even got…
