I had a feeling it wasn’t gonna be my kind of movie- I’ve havent really been into the ancient carnage genre so far. I kind of end up with this feeling of “and for what?”
There’s plenty the movie does well, with great cinematography and sound, some pretty good action despite turning away from a lot of the more brutal moments. It’s definitely the more main stream of Eggars work, which I knew would be the case. Good for him for making a big movie While still exploring his interests. Unfortunately for me, I guess I don’t share those interests in this case.
