"i never wanted anything but you."
i've thought for a long time about what rating to give this. maybe it wasn't a perfect movie, but it was perfect to me and something about it resonated with me a lot. while you could say that not every scene was necessary, i would argue that all of them added something to the characters (who i felt like i knew perfectly in the span of an hour and a half).
this movie just felt so real. there wasn't a single note of music, no flashy cinematography or sets, and most importantly no glorifying addiction. maybe that's why this movie doesn't have a higher average rating: it does exactly what it says it's gonna do. the acting was also some of the best i've ever seen, maybe in my whole life. the ending blew me away and i pretty much just sat there in shock for like 20 minutes after the movie was over before i even moved.
i have so much to say about this, and i don't know where to fit it all in so if you gather a single thing from this review, gather this: WATCH IT.
