Taylor Williams’s review published on Letterboxd:
Plot moves like a b-movie but I think that’s a good thing, this is the most pristine atmosphere and violence I’ve seen in a long time. Grotesquely satisfying, probably because everything is so analog and tangible (except the medium it was shot on lolol). Even the one sequence I began to worry looked too much like a true detective opening knockoff had enough practical effects to pull through. Afterward I read that there’s an uncut version and worried I missed something, but fret not, the version on Hulu is the proper one.
