    ★★★½

There's a lot of fun to be had with this sequel. Perkins is back and he's as good as ever. Much better than the many other 80's slashers that its predecessor inspired. The fact that Dennis Franz and Burt Young never starred in a movie as sweaty brothers who are also private detectives is a cardinal cinema sin.

Without a doubt, one of the most manipulative movies ever made. Hitch knew what kind of story audiences were expecting. He set up everything perfectly. $40,000, doomed lovers in a sweaty motel, the police closing in, we've seen similar things on Hitchcock's own show. We know where this is going. Then the loveable spider shows up. What comes next is one of the perfect descents into both madness and changing points of view. I wouldn't even hurt a fly, but then, would I even notice if I had?

But the thing that the witch did (like the shining, and Halloween…

Dear Bone Tomahawk.. I want to first thank you for holding me over until another Kurt Russell western comes out later this year. I came for that reason and I stayed for Richard Jenkins. He has given his best performance in this movie. Russell brings what every movie needs.. himself. Matthew fox and Patrick Wilson also do a great job of rounding out the gang. A gang that I wish I was a part of. The direction from Zahler, in…
