I did not grow up in a family that watched this movie, as many people have, and so I'm only just getting around to seeing "It's a Wonderful Life" for the first time this very Christmas eve. I have to say: I was very deeply moved. Indeed, I was forced to watch the film in episodic segments, with long pauses every 30 minutes or so to decompress, because of how intensely emotionally demanding the movie was.
