James Gunn you son of a bitch! You really did it! That’s THE suicide squad! So crazy. So funny, so heartfelt, so off the wall batshit insane! Just the perfect movie for these characters. It’s like the inglorious bastards of comic book movies only it’s way more whacky! The film is so brutal and really does a good job of letting you know that anyone can die! The ensemble cast are fantastic but Ratcatcher 2 you are my favourite!

Sundance Q&A with Edgar Wright and Sparks

It’s very rare that you watch a documentary and just sit there with a stupid little grin on your face the whole runtime. Yet that’s exactly what Edgar Wright and Sparks did to me.

It’s the perfect combination of passion, artistry, heart and care that a documentary following such a unique group deserves and Edgar knocks it out of the park.

This time with a packed crowd and I liked it even more second time around. This is what comic book movies are for and why I love comic book movies. My favourite part was when John Cena’s name popped up and someone in the crowd started singing his theme song.

    Princess Mononoke

The was everything I wanted it to be. Being both emotionally and thematically rich combined with a really cool score that reminded me of classic “adventure quest” type films, crouching tiger, hidden dragon in particular and beautiful imagery as you would come to expect from Ghibli. Just a really well made film that remains energetic, exciting and interesting throughout it’s entire runtime, whilst continuously being thought provoking. Probably my favourite Ghibli film.
