Wow! Has an ambitiousness, originality & narrative flamboyance that one associates with the more interesting Euro productions from the same period. The production values are pretty low. It's a great, lonely, last-gasp-of-the-summer-of-love movie as well as being one of the best examples of the Lovecraftian in cinema. See also: Daughter of Horror & Carnival of Souls.
