    Unspooled Space List Watch Along

    A suggestion from Jacob.

Men in Black I watched a lot as a kid. I don't remember turning it on, but I also remember it being a near constant, the same way Fresh Prince reruns were too, or Shark Tales, or Hitch, or the Hancock poster in my local movie theater (rip). (OKAY BRIEF PAUSE: Why is it that when I remember memories of going to the movies as a kid I always remember it…

    Unspooled Space List Watch Along

Everything discussed in the Unspooled podcast episode was spot on. Midsommar is an excellent horror film and an excellent breakup film. I loved the discussion on the podcast about how grief creates a distance between Dani (Florence Pugh) and the people around her, and how she is able to find closeness in this community, where the people share in one another's feelings whether that be pain or pleasure. Pugh plays the character of Dani so…

I saw this in theaters with my middle school boyfriend. Just figured I'd put that out there.

I've never experienced the charm most people experience when they watch this. I don't remember the last time I cried this hard while watching a movie. This fucked me up.

This is my 4th Bong Joon-ho film, and I think this is his best one. The emotional affect this had on me, albeit strong as hell, is not the only reason this was great. The performances and the direction were perfect. The pacing blew my mind! This film flew by. I never found myself wondering if we were getting to the end.…

The scene with the faculty Christmas party where Scott uses his Santa magic to give the adults presents they wanted in their youth is one of the purest in film history.

Oh to be in a theater having Prior bless me in person.

I don't think I'll ever be able to fully express my love for this play. It's use of language and monologues is like no other. It has the excitement and urgency of a musical, and manages to be engaging for six whole hours. There is nothing like it.
