Ted Mills’s review published on Letterboxd:
Not sure how I feel about this one. I feel for it because it was so unfairly treated and dumped and will probably get lumped in with "The Bye Bye Man" or some other creepypasta thing. It is very much not that. It is, however, quite long and I'm not sure if it has to be, because the longer it goes on the more it starts to give the game away. And once you realize this is indeed some kind of game, I was thinking, ohhhh is it going to be one of these films? But because it is so long I'm not sure I want to go back and see if this really holds together, because I'm not sure it does?
However: soundtrack co-written by Lustmord is certainly something, and it has moments where its Lovecraftian roots show nicely. The scene at the campsite was effective, I'm just not...???
Anyway, I hope David Prior makes another film. They done him dirty.
