Mulholland Drive

Mulholland Drive ★★★★½

A raw love story in the city of dreams.  Or conversely: Human putrefaction in the city of lethal illusions.  Both equally valid.  Both equally dangerous.

Reality is having to pick one of these nostalgia-infused poisons for the rest of our lives and dreaming is our preferred way of coping with the overwhelming disillusionment that often follows those life-defining choices.  Until we don’t and can’t, and the poison of our existence ultimately becomes too much for even the dreamiest of dreams within this broken psyche.  It’s over.  It never even started.  Silencio.
