The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

    ★★★★½

This may be my favorite thing Marvel has done in the entirety of Phase 4, and I'm aware that includes No Way Home.

This is everything a holiday movie/special should be; fun, able to go between lighthearted and pulling on heartstrings, and has characters growing from simply partaking in the Christmas Spirit.

I know Guardians Vol 3 is supposed to be the last we will see of many of these characters, but I would honestly be fine getting a Guardians Christmas Special every year.

    Strange World

    ★★★

Strange World is by no means a bad film and a lot of what it does right makes the film fun, imaginative, and gorgeous. However, it's heavy handed messaging makes it stumble more than it should.

    Valley Girl

    ★★★★½

As someone who has yet to see the original "Valley Girl", I will be reviewing this film on its merits alone.

    I loved it.

This entire film is a love letter to the 80's. The culture, the fashion, the music, all of it condensed into one film. Some might feel like that is unrealistic or romanticizing the era, but considering the film is done in the context of a mom remembering her high school days to pass down a story…

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

    ★★★½

While very much enjoyable, too many characters felt flattened out to fit certain roles rather than letting there natural character development flow through. One character in particular felt like they lost entire years of development while another felt like a simple Macguffin.

The movie has more than enough action, surprises, and thrills to keep you entertained, but there are just too many missteps and missed opportunities to put it up with what the best of the MCU has to offer.
