    This was much more fun than Zombie's previous offering, 31, but I don't see any reason for it to exist. All plans probably should have been scrapped when Sid Haig's poor health was apparent because he was such a huge reason why the first two movies worked so well, and there weren't enough fresh ideas here to make up for his painful absence.

    After seeing this movie, I assumed that the horror community was going to instantly deem it one of the best Stephen King adaptations, and so the wildly mixed reviews have been quite a surprise. The Zelda scenes are nowhere near as frightening as the original's, but in every other way it's a major improvement, especially in terms of acting.     Currently streaming on Shudder, Terrified is the only movie I can recall that features not just a single haunted house, but three haunted houses all next to each other. It's suspenseful and engaging from start to finish, and the image of a little corpse boy who recently escaped from his coffin won't be leaving my head anytime soon.
