The Sly controversy aside, this franchise just doesn't miss.
I will say tho, Rocky can be missed in certain areas and that woulda only made it better, but for what we get, it’s another banger in the franchise. MBJ brings a good level of quality and creativity in the director seat. The boxing in this looks great and I actually loved what he did with it. The story is awesome and I got into it pretty easy. Dope score, RIP NIP! How they played on both sides made it even more engaging and the acting here from everyone is incredible.
& just as I thought… Jonathan Majors steals the show yet again. He’s a BEAST in this role.
Things can feel rushed in that final act and maybe a directors cut could fix that. I also wished they woulda fleshed more things out with Damian. Other than that, it’s a good ass time in theaters and I enjoyed it. 8.4/10🥊
