It’s been a minute since I’ve watched those first 2 Kid N Play House Party movies. I figured with a funny enough cast they could pull off a fun new rehash and for what this is, it was aaaaaaight. Kinda sorta what I expected to see.
Even with its insane “LeBrons Mansion” concept, it does atleast feel like a modern goofy take on house party movie. Plus they throw in enough cameos to fill some space and the 2 leads do a decent job. It just didn’t do much for me to care and there wasn’t enough laughs to fully lean into that silliness. Which ends up being slightly cornball, yet still works for what they were aiming for. 5.6/10🍾
