Decide to show this to my parents, and to my surprise, they absolutely love it.
What Bong Joon-ho had accomplished is crafting a film dense with thoughtful commentary on class and society, and make it accessible for everyone. Everyone I know seems to be really loving this film, which is something that's really rare nowadays.
Watching it the second time makes me appreciate how Bong structured the narrative a lot more, the structure of this film seriously needs to be studied. A masterclass in set-up and payoff.
Still a masterpiece.
