It’s nice? Alexander Payne isn’t breaking new ground here or anything, he’s just really good at what he does, and Giamatti is great. As a New Englander from a preppie family, I’m predisposed to not give a shit about prep school problems. I still wound up feeling for Dominic Sessa, so that’s talent.
