Thomas Hartnett-Russell’s review published on Letterboxd:
Overly long, McAvoy is wasted, and the adults in general do not have the compelling chemistry that the child cast did in the first one. A fun King cameo poking fun at himself and his reputation is probably the best moment in the film. Not without merits, but doesn't even begin to hold a candle to the first one was. This feels like a missed opportunity.
